Time is flying and random Kari thoughts.

I cant believe how fast this year has flown by. Next week is Thanksgiving and it has kind of slipped up on me. Funny how that works. I have been thinking about it for a month but I guess felt that I didn't need to really be thinking and then boom here it is. So we are having Thanksgiving at Mom's this year. Last year we did it at Shanna's house and it wasn't the same in which it never will be the same but it can be a new normal. This year Kris is cooking the turkey. He is frying it and then we are having all the fixens. I cant wait. I am making hot rolls and mini pumpkin pie tarts and I think I'll make something else to go with it too. We shall see. I should look at pinterest for something else sweet. I should make Mom a raisin pie. hmmm

Kris has been making and taking his lunch every day. That has been so great for us money wise. I usually prepare his lunch as much as possible and then he finishes it that morning and takes it. That is saving us roughly $40 per week. YAY, for savings. The best part is it was all his idea! Things happen better if they are their ideas. It is just manipulating the idea to make them think of it and then it becomes their great idea. I am getting better at that. 

Well the winter cold is here and the heater is on and my psoriasis is going nuts! I am starting a new shampoo today. We shall see if my head turns into a science experiment and explodes and hair falls out or if the psoriasis goes away. This will save money for us too. I have been really trying to be thrifty. I am now making our own, liquid hand soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, window cleaner, surface cleaner, floor cleaners. I even removed red kool aid from the carper the other day without a single problem. I was proud of myself. Meanwhile the cleaning schedule has fell by the way side and you know what? I don't care. If you come in our house and it is a mess and makes you uncomfortable then you need to leave. We live here and thankfully we do it comfortably. My hot spots in the house are bothering me a bit though so I might clean them up a wee bit. Oh and I haven't dusted since August. Yeah, I said August and I grinned while saying it. Go ahead and come over and write your name in it. Next time you come over it might just still be there. Dust isn't my priority.
